5. Behaviours: Leading with authenticity.

Published On: 3 October 2024Categories: Career

Behaviours are the tangible expression of our values.  They shape how others perceive us and reflect what we truly care about.  Authenticity emerges when our values and behaviours align – when we act in a way that reflects who we truly are.   In a world striving for a more transparent and ethical future, our behaviours become the foundation for trust and meaningful change.

Awareness:

  • What patterns of behaviour do you notice in yourself? Are they consistent or triggered by specific situations such as   being challenged in a meeting, or facing a setback?
  • How would a close friend or colleague describe your personality? How do they perceive your strengths and areas for growth?
  • What is your persona – the outward face you present to the world – and how does it align with your inner values?
  • When do you notice that your intentions and actions are at odds? What is happening?

Agency:

  • What proactive steps can you take to manage your triggers and ensure that your actions align with your core values?
  • Consider one way that you can lead more authentically in your daily interactions, fostering trust and connection with those around you.
